The University of Wisconsin’s Dive Club, also known as the Hoofer Scuba Club, schedules loads of diving activities throughout the year. If you go to their website, you can find their Calendar under Events, Trips, and Class Signup. Sign up for their e-mail list and they will keep you updated on all of their local dives, classes, and social events. Classes are held on every imaginable diving topic, including Beginners, Open Water, Rescue, Ice, Wreck, and Night Diving, among others. If you don’t see a class that meets your interests, they do try to accommodate special requests. The full explanation can be found at http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/debsevery/1/1314012395/tpod.html The Club tries to schedule classes at different times on different days throughout the year to accommodate as many schedules as possible. Local dives are also scheduled throughout the year, in Wisconsin and the Great Lakes area. They range from dives that last just a few hours nearby, to dives that require charter dive boats and camping gear or hotels. There is one dive they try to schedule over the winter break to a warm location, like some of their past dives to the Florida Keys, Bahamas, Belize, or Cozumel. Check out their Calendar online to find all of these events and more.
